This is a Newton Fractal. To me, it depicts a burning eye of judgment.
This one is done in the same style as two of my others, Light of the Seraphim and Atom of Authority. I'm very excited about this one. I've written a new custom program to simply the task of designing new Newton fractals. It's still a little rough around the edges (I need to think some more about how to make the user interface a bit more intuitive), but I hope to eventually release it so that other people can enjoy making Newton Fractals too!
Tools used: Custom fractal render software, GIMP
